The White House Christmas tree has arrived. A horse-drawn wagon hauled it up the driveway to the North Portico on Friday morning while First lady Michelle Obama, daughters Malia and Sasha and family dogs Bo and Sunny inspected the tree.

They circled the wagon, smelled it and conferred with each other before the first lady said ""Thumbs up, thumbs up? We're taking the tree."

The 19-foot tree comes from a Pennsylvania tree farm. The White Fir tree was presented by the Botek Family from Crystal Spring Tree Farm in Lehighton, Pa, where it was grown by Chris Botek, a second generation Christmas Tree farmer and the 2010 champion of the National Christmas Tree contest.

The tree will be trimmed in the Blue Room, where it will stand as the main attraction throughout the White House holiday season.
