10 Video Games to Be Excited About at E3 2015

For gamers, all eyes are on Los Angeles as it hosts the annual video game show E3.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo, known as E3, kicks off Tuesday in Los Angeles, where fans will see Master Chief, Chun Li and the Millennium Falcon in action.

There will be virtual reality demos from Oculus Rift, a "Wizard"-like Nintendo competition, and plenty of presentations about hotly anticipated video games — many of them sequels of past favorites. Here is a look at the titles garnering the most buzz.

Star Wars Battlefront (Xbox One, PS4, PC) — Star Wars fans, prepare to geek out with the latest in the Battlefront series, where gamers can fly TIE Fighters, shoot at rebels as Boba Fett and more in massive, 40-person multiplayer battles or intense eight-on-eight games. (Release Date: November 17, 2015)

Guitar Hero Live (Xbox One, PS4, Wii U) — Forget cheesy animated bands. "Guitar Hero Live" is using real footage to make it feel like players are mashing six plastic buttons in front of a real crowd. It also comes with a pretty cool new guitar, complete with whammy bar. What does a whammy bar do? Who knows, but it sure is fun to say: whammy bar. (Release Date: Fall)

Doom (Xbox One, PS4, PC) — Break out the slap bracelets and Gushers, it's time to game like it's 1993. This time around, the graphics are better, the demons are more terrifying, and players have the ability to edit levels. Watch the trailer if you don't have a weak stomach. (Release Date: Spring 2016)

Star Fox (Wii U) — The '90s nostalgia continues with a brand-new Star Fox game. This one will utilize the GamePad's screen for a second view of the action from the cockpit, so you can see your barrel roll from behind and inside of your ship. (Release Date: TBA)

Street Fighter V (PS4, PC) Capcom is hadouken-ing its way back into gamers' hearts with a new Street Fighter title featuring slick animation and cross-platform battles.

Fallout 4 (Xbox One, PS4, PC) — The bizarre, post-apocalyptic world of "Fallout 3" captivated people in 2008. Now its sequel is almost here, promising the same wide-open style of play, this time in the devastated ruins of Boston. (Release Date: November 10, 2015)

Halo 5: Guardians (Xbox One) — New levels, new characters and four-player cooperative missions to complement the multiplayer melees that have made the series so popular. And, yes, that is Nathan Fillion from "Firefly" promoting his role as Spartan Buck in the game. (Release Date: October 27, 2015)

Dark Souls 3 (Xbox One, PS4, PC) — The action role-playing series that inspired millions of gamers to throw down their controllers in frustration returns with another installment. (Release Date: Early 2016)

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege (Xbox One, PS4, PC) — Things get intense in this first-person shooter, where special forces from around the world battle in close quarters. (Release Date: October 13, 2015)

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate (Xbox One, PS4, PC) —Blimey! Assasin's Creed is coming to Victorian England, letting gamers parkour across London and kill people with weapons like brass knuckles and a sword cane. (Release Date: October 23, 2015)
