If you plan to catch Pope Francis next week during his visit to the U.S., you might want to brush up on your Spanish.

Papal spokesperson Father Federico Lombardi said to reporters Tuesday that Pope Francis will deliver 26 speeches in the U.S., and only 4 will be in English. The rest will be in Spanish, his native language. Pope Francis, who hails from Argentina, is the first Latin American Pope.

Pope Francis will visit Washington, D.C., New York City and Philadelphia next week after first going to Cuba.

Lombardi said it will be the Pope's first visit to Cuba; he once was in Cuba's airport only for a connecting flight.

Lombardi also quashed rumors that the Pope was planning to meet with Russian president Vladimir Putin while he is in New York. "We do not expect this meeting to take place," he said.
