NASA astronaut Rick Mastracchio returned to Earth from the International Space Station in May, but his space photos continue to go viral.

It all started with a photo of Mastracchio's son, David, with his wife, Christin, during her B-52 pilot training. The couple gave that photo to Rick who later photographed it while aboard the ISS.

More than a year and a half went by, and Christin became an Air Force pilot. The couple took a new photo of them in the B-52 holding up the photo from space and emailed it to Rick. Rick was still on the ISS so he pulled up the photo on his tablet and photographed it from space again.

Is this the end of the photo loop? David hopes not. "If ever flies again we'll be giving him the original so we may continue this photo," he said on Reddit.
