The students of Durham Academy in North Carolina may be getting a day off due to bad weather Thursday, but they didn't learn about it with just the usual cookie-cutter inclement weather notice on the school's website. Head of School Michael Ulku-Steiner and Assistant Head of School and Upper School Director Lee Hark gave their students something more to smile about with a video that's sure to go viral.

Bow-tied and preppy looking, the pair took up a stance in front of their camera, with Ulku-Steiner donning a pair of ski goggles and Hart slipping into a patriotic/Olympic-themed sweater. And then the fun began as they ran through a reworked version of Vanilla Ice's 1990 hit, "Ice Ice Baby" to announce the school closure.

This seems like the start of a trend: Boone County Schools in Kentucky has racked up nearly two million YouTube hits since Feb. 3 with its "Bohemian Rhapsody" school closing announcement. Thus far, Durham has around 160,000 hits, but that's likely to climb. After all, school is closed, and the students are probably on YouTube, clicking away.
